Students from the New School beautifully disrupted the Brooklyn foreclosure auction today. The court sneakily started at 2:30pm, but the students were there early and were ready to sing. They kept singing for almost a half an hour. 13 were arrested. More details to follow.

Over 50 people gathered on March 26th in the Bronx as part of the People’s Bailout, a community effort to institute a moratorium on foreclosures and evictions. Homeowners, tenants, residents of public housing, and other community members came to sing down the auction with love and song. 24 people were arrested in today’s successful action. Only one of the 4 properties on the docket today were sold!
