O4O Inaugural Organizing Gathering

SAVE THE DATE – JULY 23! Organizing For Occupation Inaugural Conference!

Are you struggling to find or keep housing?

Do you believe that housing is a human right?

Then join us as we Organize for Occupation!

Organizing for Occupation (O4O) is a collective of NYC Housing activists from the legal, arts, homeless, and grassroots organizing communities who are using the direct occupation of vacant spaces to create housing and stop evictions. We’re looking for progressive construction workers, electricians, parents, attorneys, artists, researchers, clergy, media heads, community organizers, and anybody who wants to bring their skills to make Housing a Human Right!

And this summer, O4O is hosting an organizing gathering to kick off our campaign! Join us on July 23rd, 2011 as housing activists from across the nation rock together with poets and performance artists. We’ll hear from our comrades who’ve launched other successful local campaigns in places like Florida, Boston, and California, and we’ll begin implementing our own plan to occupy the thousands of vacant residential properties currently available in New York City!
